Papermaking wastewater mainly comes from pulping and papermaking. Pulping is the separation of fibers from plant materials, making pulp, and then bleaching; papermaking is to dilute, shape, press and dry the pulp to make paper.
 

A large amount of wastewater is discharged from the two processes, and the wastewater produced by pulping is seriously polluted. The effluent from pulp washing is black brown, which is called black water. The concentration of pollutants in black water is very high, BOD is as high as 5-40g / L, containing a lot of fiber, inorganic salt and pigment. The bleaching process also contains a large amount of acid-base waste water. The waste water discharged from the papermaking machine is called white water, which contains a large number of fibers and fillers and adhesives added in the production process.

The paper industry wastewater treatment should focus on improving the recycling water rate, reducing water consumption and wastewater discharge, and actively explore various reliable, economical and fully utilizing the useful resources in wastewater treatment methods. For example, flotation method can recover fibrous solid substances in white water, the recovery rate can reach 95%, and the clarified water can be reused; combustion method can recover sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfide, sodium sulfate and other sodium salts combined with organic matters in black water. Neutralization method can adjust pH value of wastewater; coagulation sedimentation or flotation method can remove suspended solids in wastewater; chemical precipitation method can decolorize; biological treatment method can remove BOD, which is more effective for kraft paper wastewater; wet oxidation method is used to treat sulfite pulp wastewater.
 

Pulping wastewater is one of the most difficult wastewater in papermaking industry. The content of organic pollutants and inorganic salts is high, the composition is complex, and the content of hardness component is high. The zero discharge technology of papermaking wastewater has achieved a great breakthrough in the field of pulp and paper wastewater treatment in the world. The process uses pretreatment, membrane integration and evaporation crystallization and other process plates to transform waste into treasure and realize the full reuse of wastewater.
 

In the pulping process of papermaking, the water source is drawn from a sewage clear water tank (2), and the papermaking workshop also draws water from the sewage clear water tank (2), and the medicine is added to the paper-making workshop by the dosing bucket. The sewage discharged from the paper-making workshop is pumped into the sedimentation tank (3) and the sewage clean water tank (2) after being treated by two fine mud tanks (1), and then the slurry from the sedimentation tank (3) enters into the sewage clear water tank (2) The zero discharge of sewage has been realized. The water saving of small paper mills reaches several hundred thousand tons every year. The treated paper fiber and sludge are reused, which saves the cost and realizes the win-win situation of energy saving, environmental protection and cost reduction.
